byNorth was founded by Kåre Skytte, an industrial designer from Denmark with a passion for creating products that are reduced to exactly what they need to be. Rooted in the Nordic belief that honest materials, purposeful form, and lasting construction are the foundation of good design, Kåre brings a clear design philosophy to every brief: strip away what isn't necessary, and make what remains as good as it can be.
With three years of experience taking furniture from early concept to factory floor, through close manufacturer collaboration, hands-on technical documentation, and some of the most demanding real-world briefs in product design, Kåre combines creative direction with deep production knowledge. The goal is always a product that solves the right problem, built properly, and made to last.
